These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed with Goggsy’s Goodies (“we”, “us”, “Amy”), a home bakery business operated by Amy Goggs, 34 St Cuthbert’s Avenue, Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire, DL9 4NT. By placing an order you agree to these terms.
All bespoke orders are accepted via Facebook Messenger or the enquiry form on this website. An order is only confirmed once we have agreed the design, price, collection/delivery date, and a deposit (where applicable) has been received.
We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion, for example where we are fully booked or where the requested design is outside our skill set.
All prices quoted are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable VAT. Prices for bespoke cakes are quoted individually based on your requirements; prices shown on the Menu & Prices page are starting prices only.
For bespoke celebration cakes, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the agreed price is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due in full no later than one week before your collection or delivery date. Orders will not be released until full payment has been received.
Payment may be made by bank transfer or cash. Details will be confirmed at the time of ordering.
We understand circumstances change. Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or amend your order.
Collection is from our premises in Catterick Garrison by prior arrangement. Delivery may be available within a reasonable distance — please discuss this when placing your order. A delivery charge will apply.
Once a cake has been collected or delivered, it is your responsibility to transport and store it correctly. We recommend keeping cakes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. We are not responsible for damage caused to the cake after handover.
All of our products are made in a home kitchen that handles the following allergens: gluten (wheat), eggs, milk, tree nuts, peanuts, and soya. While we take care to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee any product is entirely free from traces of any allergen.
It is your responsibility to inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements before placing your order. We will always do our best to accommodate you and will be honest if we are unable to do so safely.
Allergen information is provided in good faith based on the ingredients we use. We cannot accept liability for an allergic reaction where incorrect or incomplete information has been provided to us.
Products sold at The Colburn Cake Shed are fresh bakes prepared that week. The Shed menu changes regularly and we cannot guarantee product availability. All Shed sales are final; refunds are not available for change of mind. If a product is not as described, please raise this with us promptly.
We take great pride in our work. If you are unhappy with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of collection or delivery, ideally with photographs. We will always try to find a fair resolution. Complaints raised more than 24 hours after handover, or after the product has been partially or fully consumed, will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
We may photograph our cakes for use on our website, Facebook page, or TikTok profile. If you would prefer we do not share a photo of your order publicly, please let us know when ordering.
Our liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the total price paid for that order. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from late delivery, product defects, or any other matter, except where required by law.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.
